Jason Abbruzzese tells us about Mark Zuckerberg’s answer to why he wears the same clothes every day: “deciding on clothing every day, Zuckerberg said, is just not something he wants to waste energy on. “I really want to clear my life to make it so that I have to make as few decisions as possible about anything except how to best serve this community,” he said.”
According to Anthony Giddens (1991) the type of clothes that we wear is a kind of identity expression. Maybe there is a parallel between our personal narrations on ourselves and the way we choose our clothing: maybe most of us decide spontaneously within a given context who we are while only a few of us have a default answer ready.
