Pinterest has declared that it wants to raise its staff percentages for women and currently underrepresented minorities. This concerns engineering and non-engeneering functions. Julia Greenberg writes: “And the company says it will work to ensure that at least one woman and one underrepresented background candidate is interviewed for every open leadership role. To get there, Pinterest plans to expand the group of universities from which it recruits and launch intern programs for students from underrepresented backgrounds. … The company is also setting up an “Inclusion Labs” withParadigm, a strategy firm focused on diversity”.
